MOSIAC-Eligible Aircraft

The topic of eligible aircraft is very confusing. I read on the Cessna website earlier a CE-182Q is eligible. I read the performance number in the POH from Cessna, great the numbers are in line. However my particular 182Q had a STC increasing gross weight to 3100 lbs, which drives the performance number up. Vs1 is 61 Knots. I read conflicting information on modifications. So has anyone run across the STC issue? My particular STC looks like just paperwork and no physical modification. Can I remove the STC? Is do the regs go my the original manufacturers POH? Any thoughts on this topic?

    The increased GTOW STC is just paperwork and it can be removed. You just have to create another FAA Form 337 showing the STC as being removed.
